Ronny Scholz has studied Sociology, Russian language and Psychology in Magdeburg, Bangor (UK) and Nizhniy-Novgorod (Russia). He holds a Master degree in discourse research from University Paris XII and a PhD from Magdeburg and Paris-Est. He is specialised in lexicometric methods and interested in the analysis of political discourses especially in the post democratic era. He has worked on the discursive legitimation of the European Union, the Bologna process and the linguistic construction of crisis. Currently he is the project manager of ERC DISCONEX.
